TRACEE FIELD FIELD RULES & CODE OF CONDUCT
(Revised June 2024)
- The Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) safety rules are accepted in their entirety.
- NO spectators in the pit area.
- All engines 0.20 and larger must have an approved muffler.
- All flyers should use the frequency board when channel sharing is a potential risk.
- Flyers are cautioned to be aware of full-scale military aircraft.
- NO high-speed low-level passes toward pit area (E< – >W).
- NO high-speed low-level passes over runway (N< – >S). Such passes must be over grassy area east of runway.
- All flyers MUST stand behind safety fence to fly.
- NO taxing in or out of pit area. You must carry or hold onto your plane until on the flight line.
- Transmitters should remain powered on and actively connected to aircraft until the aircraft power source has been disconnected. Electric planes should also use a throttle-cut switch for safety both before and after flights, especially when handling and batteries are connected.
- Helicopters & multi-rotor aircraft are permitted and should follow any current flight pattern. Maintenance flights/hovering should be done in the designated area southwest of runway.
- NO cell phones are permitted in pit area.
- All flyers should be aware of the frisbee golfers and obstacle course both north and east of runway. NO LOW-LEVEL FLYING OVER OBSTACLE COURSE!!!!
- ABSOLUTELY NO FLYING OVER POWER LINES AT SOUTH END OF FIELD!!!
- NO turbine powered aircraft allowed at Tracee Field.
- Only current paid JCRCF members are permitted access to locked club building. Keys can only be obtained from a club officer.
- No personal items are to be left or stored in club building. Lost & found items may be left inside only until claimed by owner.
- NO SMOKING in club building.
- All in-flight aircraft must have proper identification as required by AMA and FAA.
- JCRCF field is an FAA recognized identification area (FRIA). Remote Identification (RID) is required when flying outside the JCRCF field area or higher than 200 feet above ground level.
